itunes bookmark mp3
Importing mp3 to iTunes audiobook format?
I have some audio books that have been downloaded in mp3 format. Can anyone tell me how to import these in iTunes 9? I've imported them as "Books & Spoken" but I'm only interested in adding them specifically as an audiobook so you can take advantage of chapter markers. Every answer I found on Google seems to apply to earlier editions of iTunes. Thanks for your help!
In iTunes 9 (as with earlier versions), you can leave the books as "Talking books and gender in music – if you do this only go to iTunes, select all the tracks / chapters of books for all to change color, then right mouse click and select Get Info. Go to the Options tab and check the box that says "Remember playback position" and this bookmark that actually stopped listening last time. To change the type of music for audio books then select all the tracks again, right mouse click, Get Info, Options use the dropdown menu next to Type to select media audio books instead of music. Also check the box that says "Remember playback position". PS To select all the tracks you want one click of the mouse to the left in the first track, hold down the Alt key and click left on all the others one by one. Or if they're all together on the left, click the first, scroll down to the last Fownes, hold down the Shift key and left click on it.
