What is [Intel GMA 950 MB shared VRAM using?, I'm getting new equipment are the following specifications. good for me?
-Intel Core of shared VRAM (max.128 MB) What do I do on the computer? I serf the net. I am a maniac Youtube (I watch videos a lot). Messenger. Download. Play on the network. I have a lot of applications at the same time (around 5-7) I do video editing (Make AMVs). Graphic art in Photoshop CS3 with tablet. I run iTunes, Messenger, Mozilla Firefox, Photoshop in Sametime. well thats all I do ... the team is good enough for me? I'm not playing any computer game DVD / CD. it is better Intel Celeron or Intel Core 2 Duo?
The shared VRAM is only part of system RAM allocated for video. The GMA 950 has no dedicated RAM and has to use the system RAM. For photoshopping and video editing, a powerful CPU is a necessity. Most work is done on the CPU. It may be worth investing a quad core and faster and / or additional RAM. This allows you to run multiple applications more smoothly. I have an E4300 and find that it is not fast enough for my taste when converting videos. I also recommend leaving Windows Vista. Just not a mature platform yet. Vista will have a lot cycles of RAM and CPU doing useless tasks. Stick with XP. EDIT: The Core 2 Celeron has less cache, meaning that the CPU has to get data from memory more often, which is much slower than using the cache on the CPU itself.
