Downloaded itunes 8.0.2 update and my computer is all messed up!?

I just downloaded and installed the new update of iTunes (8.0.2) and now – iTunes can not play anything and there is no sound coming from it to Windows Media Center (for my TV tuner) on Vista will not work. Receipt critical "failure" the message. Most, all my tray icons are missing, including my state of Internet. I uninstalled iTunes, and nothing has changed. Please help!

Probably the quickest solution is to do a system restore to the last week or last month.
