Ipod touch 2g not being detected by Itunes!!HELP?

I downloaded this software and pressed shift and the restore button so that i would get the 3.0 version. It extracted all the files and everything and it restarted the ipod touch. It is stuck on factory setting all I see is the Itunes logo and the usb logo on the ipod touch screen, when i plug it to the USB it States “Itunes could not connect to ipod touch because of an unknown error ( 0XE800005D)”

if i were you i would try these
1 put your ipod into DFU mode (turn off ipod,then plug it in and hold power and home buttons for ten seconds, then release the power and hold the home until your computer makes a sound)
2 make sure the original firmware is set for the restore button and restore the ipod. ill post the link to the original firmware below.

if that doesn’t work try this.
1 create a new user on your computer
2 log into the new user and open up itunes
3 connect your ipod and restore it on there

im not sure if that will work but its worth a try.
if that doesn’t work you’ll need to take it to the apple store and explain what happened which might not work because they might think you were trying to jailbreak your ipod
