The following items are not a foolproof formula, but here are some things I noticed about the podcasts that get displayed:
• They have a large cult following (or object) that has won everything before it even started the podcast (IG, the Firefly podcast, MuggleCast, NPR podcasts, this week's technology, etc.).
• They have won a wide audience over time, providing high-quality content that appeals to value a broad audience.
• They spend time regularly ask their audience to vote, and classify them in a specific directory on your blog and in his own show.
