Is it absolutely necessary to buy songs from iTunes to be compatible with my iPod?
I have a lot of mp3 files that I would love get the new iPod, but I can not find a way to make iPod compatible files without going to the store and repurchase them.
No, certainly not. Most downloadable songs on the Internet, when downloaded go directly to their songs i anyway to put on your Ipod.
