itunes need to download recovery software?
i plugged in my my ipod to my computer and said that itunes was going to download a recovry software to my ipod and the ipod would automatically restart after it was done. am i going to lose everything on my ipod?
I’ve never heard of this. Are you sure that it said “recovery” and not “restore”?
If you restore an iPod to factory settings (which you might need to do after a bad crash that can’t be fixed by resetting), you will lose everything on the iPod, including all of your settings. You can still copy everything back onto your iPod from iTunes, but it might take a while depending on how much you have.
