One of the best ways to improve your ability to speak in any language is to listen to native speakers. However, listening alone will not make you a great speaker. If you are looking for an effective method to improve their ability to speak Spanish, should not only listen to native speakers, but also imitate them. What the best methods for doing so? Here are three of them!
1. Podcasts
There are dozens of podcasts online, Google has just "Spanish podcasts." You can learn a lot from them. However, if you want to improve your speaking skills, you should seek talks. Try to find a podcast with a transcript, it is better to improve speaking skills, if you can follow the speaker during the reading of the transcript. You can find a number of podcasts on iTunes. Make sure the podcast is not too difficult for you as it is not effective to listen to something you can not understand.
2. Lingus.tv
Lingus.tv is an Internet TV that is dedicated to teaching Spanish in a fun way – by comedy. These comedies last a few minutes, a transcript, subtitles, there is a translation and grammatical notes. As a result, improve your Spanish is very easy – read a transcript and try to mimic the native speakers pronunciation. If you do not understand something, check the translation. You can improve your accent and vocabulary. These videos have three levels of difficulty – beginner, intermediate and advanced so you should find something for that no matter how long you've been learning Spanish.
3. Audiobooks
Buy an ordinary book and an audiobook with a native speaker of Spanish. First, listen to a passage spoken by a native Spanish speaker, then turn the microphone and read the same passage aloud. Listen to your pronunciation and compare it to a speaker. Repeat this process at least a couple of times to be pronounced as close to the native speaker as possible. Then do the same for the next step and the next and so on. You can find a lot of books and audiobooks Spanish at Amazon or eBay. Maybe your local library has books in Spanish?
Do not be discouraged if progress is slow. You can not improve their ability to speak Spanish skills overnight. Try the above methods and I am sure that after some time he speaks much better than I do now. Determined and set practice. Good luck!
