How to transfer iTunes DRM protected M4P Blackberry Storm
"With a unique touch screen and advanced multimedia capabilities, the phone BlackBerry Storm makes a great impression while traveling around town or in almost any corner of the world. "
One of the new features that I starting to enjoy on my BlackBerry Storm is the ability for you to play multimedia files and specifically audio (music).
First let's look video to formats compatible with audio and BlackBerry Storm:
Support video format: MPEG4 H.263, MPEG4 Part 2 Simple Profile, H.264, WMV
Audio Support MP3, AAC, AAC +, eAAC +, WMA, WMA ProPlus
Basically, when buying music from iTunes comes with a copyright protection called DRM. These DRM-protected songs are locked so that only work with Apple's MP3 players. That means if you have a BlackBerry Storm, you can not use music from iTunes.
So what's the solution? You have to burn a CD. In doing so, DRM is removed (because the music becomes a non-DRM compatible media). After recording the CD, you can extract to your PC as an MP3 file that has no DRM.
Alternatively, you can use TuneClone . TuneClone makes a virtual drive CD-ROM, cheating on your PC in the belief that you are burning a CD. Therefore, the DRM is eliminated without losing a CD.
Here is a link to a tutorial using TuneClone and iTunes 8:

After you get the output MP3 files, you can now begin to transfer to your BlackBerry Storm:
1. Connect your BlackBerry to your computer via USB cable.
2. If you have properly enabled your Blackberry as mass storage devices, microSD card of your Blackberry will be seen as a removable drive on the computer.
3. Double-click the folder Blackberry.
4. Double-click the folder of music.
5. Copy music files on your BlackBerry.
6. Disconnect your BlackBerry USB cable and go to "Multimedia" icon on you Blackberry. You need to disconnect when it uses the mass storage device as it inhibits direct access from the Blackberry when connected to PC via USB cable.
7. Click the Music icon.
8. Click Media Card folder.
9. Select the music folder.
10. Select the song.
11. Listen and enjoy.
Done.
