why does itunes keep skipping when i play my downloaded tv shows?

i downloaded a bunch of tv show episodes. when i try to play them, ( i tried itunes and quicktime….they never worked) they would skip! the audio went all the way through, but the video was acting up. and here is the weird part……..I have an ipod, and it plays those tv shows perfectly! i would like to be able to watch them on my pc too. thanks everyone!
its not because its a large file. i have watched a movie that i downloaded that was 2hrs long. its was 4gbs big! lol

It’s because it’s a large file and your computer’s processor and hard drive have a hard time reading the video quickly and getting it sent to your video card. Your iPod was designed specifically for playing video back so it’s able to read everything quickly.
