How I can combine two iTunes libraries on an iPod?
I want my iPod to hold two playlists. One for my music, and one for a friend of my music. The problem is that when I connect my iPod to my friend's computer, which erases all my music and replaces it with theirs. Is there a way to have an iPod with two lists, each with a different computer music? "Thanks Note: My music is all music downloaded from iTunes. music is my friend everything from the CD.
have your iPod to automatic synchronization, which means that each time you connect to a new computer that will remove the music already is there and replace it with new music. I still do not understand why Apple did this. anyway, how to fix this is by doing the following: connect iPod and iTunes, click on your iPod. when you do that, you get the summary of your iPod (storage, software version, etc) in the bottom of the screen, see the option "Manually manage music" check that box. what it does is it now puts you in control of what goes in and what goes out of your iPod … whenever you want add music, click all the songs you want to add and drag them into the image of your iPod. when you drop it there, all the songs to be highlighted synchronize with your iPod. if you want to add playlists, just create the playlist and drag the playlist to your iPod … whenever you want to delete a song from her ipod, under the picture of your iPod, click on "music" and then get a list of songs that are currently on your iPod. Find the song (s) want to delete, click on the song, and click on "remove" to delete the song from your iPod, but not delete the song from iTunes.
