Problems installing updates for iTunes?
I’m running Vista on my laptop and I have an old version of iTunes (still with the blue note on the icon, not the green one from forever ago). Every time I try to install updates from the iTunes website it goes through the installer for iTunes and then automatically to the one for QuickTime and right at the end of that I get a message that says “The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing the package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2738″. Can anyone help???
I had a similar problem with XP. I had to uninstall iTunes altogether, restart my machine and install the new, full product and it works fine.
Make sure you back up your library if you do this so you don’t lose any files.
