Note: The method can be very different with your model, but the principle remains the same, there must be a file stores the password, and must be in one of the newer files since changed his password.
Note 2: Vista compatibility
This problem is solved very easily, right-click on the icon partedit32, go to properties click the compatibility tab and set the compatibility Windows XP or Win98.
To add Vista and XP run as administrator.
Method n ° 1:
1. Download Partedit32 launch the program and change the partition type pqservice 27 to 7.
2. Restart your computer press F2 at boot to enter the BIOS, and then turn off (d2drecovery).
3. Reboot and press F8 repeatedly until the Windows recovery menu, select: command prompt. Open windows and now there a charter for a new unit, x, for example.
4. Type in "dir" and locate the file "aimdrs.dat. Then type this command at the prompt: "Copy C aimdrs.dat"
5. Restart the computer normally, open a notepad for your file to open it and retrieve your password. Do not forget to restore your partition pqservice in its initial state with partedit32, and to reactivate the D2D recovery option in the BIOS.
Method n ° 2:
With a Linux boot CD that:
1. Cd / mnt /
2. Acer mkdir
3. mount – t vfat / dev/hda1 / mnt / Acer
4. cat / tools / aimdrs.dat
Here is your password.
Note: For latest laptop SATA disk replace "hda1" with "sda1".
