Essential Music 28 sites to promote their music

If you have good music, people listen and buy music. But they need to find their music. I've done all the homework and then give the 28 Essential Music sites to promote their music thus increasing their income.

The sites below are broken down into categories to help aim of the exhibition of music needs.

Artists Bare Essentials

1. GoDaddy.com – Each band or artist needs his own website URL. There is much you can do with it (I will cover in a future post) to complement your marketing efforts is worth the $ 8.99 a year. GoDaddy is the best company for URLs with excellent customer service and cheating prices. I used this company many times.
2. BandZoogle.com – This is a website with band / artist templates for your music. You do not need to know to build websites. They have everything for you. You can even sell their own music on the site, among other services.
3. Bravenet.com – This company offers many free services and premium services that can help you build your marketing efforts. Most importantly, have many interactive tools that can add to your own site or add to their social networks. FREE tool has an email list to start collecting fans emails. This tool is very valuable and I will post about the importance of email lists in the future. I used this company many times.
4. FanBridge.com – This is an artist-specific company that helps build your fan base with the tools of e-mail list. There is a free service and first class service. Markstone use the coupon code for an update free.

Getting your music on iTunes and other sites

1. Tunecore.com — This is the main site to get your music on iTunes, Amazon and other valuable sites. TuneCore just merge with Amazon services, and now print your CD and open stores merchandising for his music. This service will commence on 1 July. But for now, get your music on iTunes. Over 70% of people use iTunes for your digital Downloads from other sites. I personally know unsigned bands to make more than $ 5,000 per month to iTunes only. There is an annual fee for each album you download. But you can keep 100% of their royalties, but the other sites take a percentage. You can also get 30% discount on the fare, using the code beheard30.

Social Networks

1. MySpace.com – This has been a mecca for all bands and artists. MySpace even has his own record label called MySpace Records. They sign artists in all genres and often sign bands that create a stir in place. Registration is free.
2. Purevolume.com – This site has a better transmission of the features that MySpace (current State States have random ads and not working). This site is free to register and includes all genres but mainly caters to rock bands. Scouting is good music on their site to feature on its front page. This site receives over 10,000 visitors a day. There are social networking features available.
3. Twitter.com – This is the latest social networking phenomenon. Fans can see what the band and individual members are doing all day. Direct fan interaction between the band that takes place is huge in building a core fan base. This is free to register and is a necessity in any marketing plan musicians. I will post on Twitter and your marketing plan music soon.
ILike.com 4. – This site helps to announce any new songs, new shows, new blogs or to publish new pictures up. Anyone with iTunes (which is about 70% of the music) for updates Automatic Player if your iTunes have music in your iTunes. iLike is a sidebar that you can download grant to iTunes. Once you register for iLike, tell your fans about the sidebar so they can keep abreast of their bands every move.
5. Lastfm.com – This is another site that INTEGRATED your iTunes player. When you open a free account and download the Last.fm software, play everything recorded by Last.fm. Using all data from all players to give iTunes most-played lists and statistics on their songs. This is a good tool to see what are the most popular songs in their albums. You might think you know what is the most popular song, but Last.fm will tell you what their fans listen to most.
6. Facebook.com – This is the largest social networking site in the world (2nd in the U.S. behind MySpace). It is beginning to improve their music applications so this is definitely a site that you need to register for.

Artist Press Kits

1. SonicBids.com – This site offers EPKs (electronic press kits) for artists but also help "book and music licensing," according to their site. I have never used their services, but I know it is very good reputation in the music industry.
2. PowerPressKits.com – Once again, never I have used this company but they offer free press kit construction. They even have different templates for you to use.

Websites for Music Reviews

1. AbsolutePunk.net – This site serves no gender-covered rock and rap. The audience here can be difficult for artists, but to get any exposure on this site helpful. The staff is quite large so it's easy to get one or more of them to respond to your emails. If you have the stomach, get your music reviewed on this site. People in the music industry on this site several times a day.
2. Pitchfork.com – This site is a mecca for indie / singer-songwriters. The owner even listed as one of the Top 200 most influential people by Time magazine. Once again, these people can be difficult.
3. PunkNews.com – This site serves the true punk crowd, and again, can be a tough crowd. If you are a punk band and street cred, get new or review on this site.
4. Stereogum.com – This site serves the singer, composer and band indie crowd.
5. BrooklynVegan.com – This site serves the music fan in New York. It covers more of the music and even has a Sirius satellite radio show.
6. title = "TheDailyChorus.com"> TheDailyChorus.com – A blog that has very little attention to the music industry. This blog covers music mostly in the genre of hardcore rock, emo, indie, punk and the "scene" of music.
7. GlobalGrind.com – This caters to hip-hop culture and is more of a social network for hip-hop artists and fans. There's hip-hop unsigned features.

Sell your goods online

1. BigCartel.com – This is a very popular e-commerce that will sell their wares music (shirts, etc.) on your site and handle all the payments for you. You simply collect orders and send them out. This gives you total control over the shipping process. You can create a store or use one of their templates.
2. DistrictLines.com – This site not only has a few custom shops artists, but to print out your merchandise. They cater to the pop rock bands of the genre, but also have cultural icons as clients.

Companies That makes their Merch (CDs, shirts, etc)

1. Discmakers.com – This company is one of the kings in the CD duplication business. Their rates are very competitive and they do much more than just CD. You can get your shirts, stickers, buttons, and a host of other things printed.
2. DistrictLines.com – I only make personalized merchandising stores for you, but also address your printing needs.

Tips for goods

1. LoudBytes.com – This site allows you to buy cards download, stickers or buttons with a code in each. This code can be redeemed in place for their music. You can sell these products at fairs unordered music CDs. You sell the cards to their fans and their music is downloaded off LoudBytes. They even have hangtags for their tops. If you have physical CDs and want to sell a pair of side B, this is the cheapest way to sell one or two songs.
2. Dropcards.com – This is also a download website that includes a code card in each card.

Music Discovery Blog

1. Kings Of A & R.com – The site is well explored by the people in the music industry. This site covers all genres of music and if you feel like your music good enough to be presented on the site, Dean of email, the owner of the site.
2. TheDailyChorus.com – Another music discovery site that is explored by the music industry. This site covers mainly the music in the rock genre. The staff of this site is KOAR much bigger than making it easier to get personal attention.
