Can’t get any sound from my computer?
Running Windows Vista Home Premium
Acer Aspire 5100 Series
My sound was working fine before I shut down my computer. I restarted it, and now I can’t get any sound out of my system. I can’t get any sound anywhere, including:
CNN.com – no sound in news videos
iTunes – I click on a song and it loads into the play bar, but it doesn’t play back. The time stays stuck at 0:00 and there is no sound at all.
System – tested system sounds (ring, bell, etc) and still no sound.
What could be causing this problem ALL OF A SUDDEN?
Well before you do anything check if its plugged in properly. I don’t know if your speakers require batteries (some do) but you should also try to replace those. After that if your sound is not working, it is most likely a software defect. Also maybe check out your settings on your computer, you may have sound not enabled for some reason.
