Why upgrade your version of iTunes like any other day?
Has anyone else noticed this? It's like, every time you want to open itunes to update the version. Is there a way to make automatic updates which isn't so nuissance?
OK, I'm running iTunes version 7.6.1.9 on Windows XP Professional (with Service Pack 2) and I think that's how you can disable the automatic update. Open iTunes. Click "Edit" then "Preferences …". Look under the tab "General" and should read "Check for updates automatically." If there is a checkmark next to it, click it to disable, then click "OK." Then I would suggest the closure of iTunes to make sure you save the configuration. Sometimes I even go to restart the computer after you make a change, just to make sure that the change "stick." Hope this helps. Oh and by the way, I'm agree with you, iTunes has updates too, but it's okay I guess, I think it means they are trying to keep your product up to date, and safe and secure.
