itunes sync applications problem

Syncing iTouch to iTunes- Applications?
I have already authorized my computer and my Touch is brand new. The software is up to date (2.2.1) and I’m trying to get applications I’m downloading from the iTunes store onto my Touch without deleting the ones I already have.
I have also faced another problem- on iTunes, under “Devices”, and then under the name of my iTouch (”Kinsey”), I can expand down to see “Music”, “Movies”, “TV Shows”, and “Purchased”. I have not ever seen a tab for “Applications”. What is the cause of this?
Also, in the attempt to get my apps from iTunes to my iTouch, I have only gotten the reminder to authorize my computer- which it already is.
I don’t want to delete any of my previous apps, but I want to get new ones! What is the problem here?

You can only synchronize the iPod Touch to one computer at a time. I don’t understand how you already have applications on it if you just bought it. If you are talking about the ones that came with it, those are there to stay, they are not going to get erased.
Try to download a free application, and sync it to your iPod Touch, when you do so, the Applications bar should appear.
