The “Tag songs” feature on my ipod nano 5th generation won’t work?

I got a new 5th gen ipod nano. I can’t tag songs. I tried pushing and holding the center button but it only says “add to favorites” (Meaning the radio station) and “Cancel”. I then went to “Recent songs” on the Radio menu. It said “after listening to the Radio, view a list of recently played songs you can Tag and sync to iTunes.” I have tried listening to the radio for hours and no songs show up in the “Recent songs” section. The station I listen to DOES support iTunes Radio. When I listen it shows the name of the song and the artist at the top of the scree, above where it says the radio station. I don’t know what to do. Tagging songs was what I was most exited about because I forget the names of song I want from the radio all of the time. Please help. Thanks.

The stations that support that feature will have a tag icon on them. If the icon isn’t there the option to tag won’t appear.
