Downgrade to 3.0 from 3.1.2 for the iPod Touch?

So I'm going to jailbreak my ipod touch, I was doing an investigation and said you had to have I have version 3.0 and version 3.1.2 (7D11) and so I'm trying to downgrade. It said that u would have to download iTunes 8.2 beta to 3.0 but when I download says iTunes had expired. Is there any way to bypass the iTunes expires, would it work for iTunes v8.2 beta does not?

It depends on what kind of iPod you have. 3 second generation? You're in luck and can not go back. There IS a jailbreak for the iPod firmware 3.1.2 at this time, however, called Blackra1n: http://www.blackra1n.com/ Just click on the little Windows icon to download. You can drain any version of firmware out there. The problem is that for the third-generation iPod Touch (New ones coming out) is a "jailbreak bound", ie if you turn off your iPod then you need to connect a backup to your computer and jailbreak again.
