itunes will not open mac

iTunes wont detect new to me ipod…?
I traded my iPod Touch for my friends iPod Nano, the square one… It worked when I plugged it into my mac earlier, until I restored it. My iTunes will no longer detect it, but when I open finder, the iPod shows on the left devices column. I do not know what is happening, but I’ve tried different USB ports, disconnecting all other USB devices, but nada. She never had any problems with it, and she was on a Windows platform. Can anyone help me?
Mac HD, I was tired of having tons of features that I never needed, trying to type and hitting wrong letters, ect. I wanted something new, what’s newest isn’t always best.
did you try re-installing itunes? did you try restarting the ipod?

why would you ever do that trade anyways??? that is the stupidest trade ive ever seen
